Dr. Camilli received her M.S. and Psy.D. in school psychology from St. John’s University where she received extensive training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of cognitive, behavior, personality and social disorders, particularly as they relate to school functioning.
Following graduation, Dr. Camilli completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CCDBT) on Long Island, NY. There, she obtained specialized supervision and training in evidence-based therapy (DBT/CBT) to treat a number of different symptoms and disorders including-- anxiety, borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia, binge eating), non-suicidal self-injurious behavior (cutting, etc), OCD, ODD, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation.
In addition to individual therapy, Dr. Camilli has group work experience conducting parent-training workshops, couples therapy, and family therapy to assist clients in improving relationships, enhancing problem-solving skills, and effectively managing negative emotions.
